Paris Haute Couture Week opened with Schiaparelli’s breathtaking show. As Daniel Roseberry shared, he is tired of equating modernity with simplicity. In his Icarus collection, the designer embraces extravagance, skillfully blending the classical ideals of the past with a contemporary vision of haute couture.

The collection’s story began with ribbons that Roseberry discovered in an antique shop. In a world dominated by minimalism and optimization, Schiaparelli’s creative director boldly advocates for maximalism.

The centerpiece of the Spring-Summer 2025 collection was the iconic New Look silhouette, characterized by voluminous hips, brought to life in dresses, jackets, and coats. Baroque opulence intertwined with embroidery inspired by the designer’s own sketches, vintage beading, layered elements, and intricate fabric manipulation techniques. The 33 looks in the collection, inspired by silhouettes from the 1920s, 30s, and 50s, beautifully showcase a harmony of eras reimagined for the present.
