The art of being a woman
How to embrace your femininity
Femininity is more than just an attractive appearance. It manifests in our perception of the world and those around us, in our ability to understand ourselves and our needs. It also shows how we express love, care, and trust.
One of the founders of analytical psychology, Carl Gustav Jung, spoke about the presence of both feminine (anima) and masculine (animus) elements in every person. The feminine is associated with creativity, intuition, feelings, and emotions, while the masculine is linked to external expression, decisiveness, stability, and the achievement of goals and desires. Ideally, both elements are in harmony, manifesting appropriately in different aspects of life.
The key is to skillfully balance these energies, avoiding an overemphasis on one over the other. A woman who achieves this balance finds it easier to express her best qualities, tap into her natural potential, and draw strength from her inner source of energy. Embracing femininity can be achieved through a deep understanding and acceptance of one’s nature.
Getting to know yourself
At first glance, this seems simple but is a very effective practice. It involves rediscovering yourself and your nature. It’s best to write down your answers on paper or in a dedicated notebook. Start with the question, “Who am I?” Describe yourself from the perspective of how you perceive yourself—your qualities, values, goals, and dreams.
Next, outline what femininity means to you, what qualities a true woman should have, and how she manifests in the world. Then, gradually start applying these qualities in your daily life.
More feeling, less thinking
A woman’s perception of the world is to feel rather than analyze. Try to feel everything that happens to you throughout the day: the taste of food, pleasant scents, and soft touches. Femininity is always about sincere emotions, lightness, and joy. Listen to your inner voice and intuition. Act on what you feel in your heart, rather than what you think is right or necessary.
In addition, learn to fill yourself up and take time each day just for you. Do what brings you pleasure and joy. This could be reading an interesting book, taking a hot bath, going for an evening walk alone, and more.
A woman needs other women
Every woman needs the company of other women from time to time. Spend more time with friends and loved ones. Surround yourself with people who inspire and uplift you. It’s important to ensure that these gatherings are positive and uplifting. This kind of energy exchange fills you up and leaves a lasting sense of well-being. Once fully recharged with pleasant experiences, a woman is ready to care for her family and realize her potential.
