How the premiere took place
The legendary opera «The Tales of Hoffmann» by Offenbach, staged by Stefano Poda, was presented for the first time on the stage of the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theatre
The opera’s plot is based on the works and biography of the great Romantic writer Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann. To the music of Jacques Offenbach, performed by the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, his memories and creative fantasies came to life. Director Stefano Poda, known for his distinctive approach, explored the depths of the human psyche and showed that opera is a living and universal form of art.
