However, the turning point in his career came in 1990 when he signed a contract with Gucci, a brand that was on the brink of bankruptcy. During his tenure, Gucci’s revenues rose from $230 million to $10 billion.

In 2004, Tom Ford left Gucci and founded his own brand, Tom Ford, which includes luxury lines of clothing, accessories, and fragrances. The brand quickly became a standard of elegance and sensuality, earning the love and recognition of fashion and style icons around the world.

Career in film

Tom Ford did not limit himself to the fashion industry. In 2009, he made his directorial debut with the film “A Single Man,” which was warmly received by critics. The lead actor, Colin Firth, was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor. In 2016, Ford directed his second film, “Nocturnal Animals,” which also received positive reviews at various film festivals.
