Valentino stages Alessandro Michele’s debut show

Alessandro Michele made his debut with a show for Valentino. The House’s Spring-Summer collection took on an entirely new tone — not a trace of Pierpaolo Piccioli’s signature style remained. Michele reinterprets the codes, delicately revisiting Valentino Garavani’s archives.

«The Pavilion of Madness» — a blend of luxury, mystique, and history. Cracked glass floors, floor lamps, chairs, cabinets, and walls draped in white sheets created a brand-new world for Valentino.

Eighty-five intricate looks were presented to guests against the backdrop of the track Passacaglia della Vita. The collection featured below-the-knee dresses, tiered skirts, tapestry jackets, bows and ruffles, wide-brimmed hats, lace tights, mesh gloves, and veils, all paired seamlessly with the familiar Valentino Red staples.
