Which boots to choose for Fall 2024
Cold weather won't get in the way of style
As the cool season arrives, many of us prioritize comfort and warmth, often at the expense of style. Regarding footwear, sneakers or Ugg boots are usually at the top of my mind. But fall 2024 offers plenty of alternative options that bring a touch of femininity to your outfits and add an extra spark to the autumn mood.
First on the list are tube boots, a favorite since the runway shows of Gucci, Celine, and Prada. Designers are offering stable-heeled versions in black, white, and brown. Hermès showcased tube boots with wide shafts and chunky soles. Minimalist interpretations in neutral tones will perfectly complement classic looks. Riding-inspired tube boots also look fantastic with jeans tucked inside.

Runways have been filled with high over-the-knee and even thigh-high boots. Knee-covering boots have made a strong comeback, thanks to trends from the ’70s and boho chic influences. Gucci presented flat styles in deep burgundy and khaki tones, while Chloé designed heeled thigh-highs, which they suggest pairing with shorts or flowy dresses.

Square-toed women’s boots have also been popular across many collections. For instance, Balenciaga offers models with decorative stitching, while Versace and Stella McCartney present options with tall, chunky heels. Kenzo focuses on lacing and vibrant colors, making it easy to find a style to match any taste.

Cowboy boots, or choppers, embody Western style. The key is to pick sturdy, comfortable models that can handle anything the season throws at them. Pairing jeans with cowboy boots creates a cozy, effortless look, while miniskirts or shorts with an oversized top and Western boots add a bold touch. Playing with styles can result in a unique outfit: a slip dress with chopper boots is perfect for a date night, especially with a leather jacket thrown over your shoulders.
