On October 15th, the highly anticipated comeback of the Victoria’s Secret show took place. For the first time in six years, the iconic models once again graced the runway. The preparation of the Angels for such a grand event is a ritual that begins long before the show.
Victoria’s Secret models follow a strict diet and exercise regimen to maintain their physiques, especially ahead of such important events. Each model strives to lead a healthy lifestyle.
Workout program
Most of the exercises in their program focus on developing strength, endurance, and flexibility. Among the most popular workouts are boxing, pilates, and strength training. Some models also add barre fitness (a combination of ballet elements with yoga and pilates) to keep their muscles toned. The core principle is to train almost every day, alternating muscle groups and paying special attention to the legs, abs, and glutes.
Diet regimen
Nearly all the Angels adhere to a diet based on whole foods. The focus is on proteins (chicken, fish), healthy fats (avocado, nuts), complex carbohydrates (quinoa, brown rice), and vegetables and fruits. Processed foods, sugar, gluten, and alcohol are completely excluded from their diet.
In the days leading up to the show, models often increase their protein intake and reduce carbs to minimize water retention. Additionally, detox teas and green smoothies, which support digestion and boost energy levels, are commonly included in their diet.
Lifestyle
In addition to strict workouts and diets, the models emphasize hydration, sleep routines, and mindfulness. They acknowledge the importance of timely rest and complete recovery. After all, the main goal is not just to look good but also to feel confident and energetic and enjoy the entire process.
