A new era of sound: clubs, festivals, and communities

Since the mid-2010s, Tashkent has become a hotspot for electronic music. Local artists are experimenting, blending techno and house with Uzbek influences, while festivals like "Stihia" in Muynak provide not only a stage for musicians but also serve as a part of a global cultural movement.

Today, world-renowned electronic music stars perform at venues across the capital, thanks to the dedication of local promoters and enthusiasts who continue to create new opportunities for both artists and audiences.

A scene born from the passion

One of the key drivers behind the growth of the electronic music scene has been the involvement of local artists and creative collectives. They are not just making music – they are shaping a cultural community that fosters experimentation and a creative approach.

Collectives like Raqs successfully fuse traditional Uzbek sounds with contemporary electronic beats, crafting a unique sonic identity that resonates both locally and internationally. These artists play a crucial role in bringing Uzbek culture to the global stage.

The importance of support and future prospects

Despite its rapid growth, electronic music in Tashkent still requires greater support and recognition. It is essential to create the right conditions for emerging talents, open new venues for performances, and organize educational programs to help young musicians refine their skills.

Support from both the government and private investors can play a key role in the development of the industry. The launch of music schools, sponsorship of festivals, recording studios, and collaborations with international artists will elevate Uzbekistan’s electronic music scene to the next level.

In 2024, several major projects were implemented, significantly impacting the local music scene and attracting attention from both local and global audiences. Click, a company that recognized this growing trend early on, has actively supported Tashkent’s expanding electronic music industry.
