ZENITH Chronomaster Revival A3818 Cover Girl Carbon
A new chapter of the legendary collection

ZENITH and Revolution unveil their third collaborative limited-edition release of the Chronomaster Revival A3818. Following the steel (2020) and titanium (2022) editions, the iconic Cover Girl now debuts in an advanced carbon composite case. With three monochromatic black variations, the design reinterprets a classic aesthetic while integrating cutting-edge materials.
Revolutionary lightness
Originally introduced in 1971, the A3818 Chronomaster quickly became one of the most sought-after models equipped with the El Primero movement. Produced in limited numbers, the watch featured a tonneau-shaped case and an integrated "ladder" bracelet from the legendary Gay Frères. Its "Cover Girl" nickname came after it graced the cover of Manfred Rössler's book, ZENITH – Swiss Watch Manufacture Since 1865.

In celebration of Revolution’s 20th anniversary, this third version of the Chronomaster Revival A3818 is crafted from carbon composite, combining exceptional durability with minimal weight. To compare: the steel edition weighed 110.6g, the titanium version weighed 78.3g, and the carbon case and bracelet edition weighs only 55g.
The carbon composite dial retains the signature "shark tooth" seconds track, along with tachometer and pulsometer scales. Contrasting subdials add a sense of dynamism, while the luminescent coating ensures optimal readability in low-light conditions.

The titanium caseback, finished with black PVD coating and sapphire crystal, offers a view of the El Primero 400 movement – the direct successor of the world’s first high-frequency automatic chronograph, introduced in 1969. Operating at 5 Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour), it delivers precision to one-tenth of a second and boasts a 50-hour power reserve.
"This Cover Girl is a must-have for any collection: coated in an eye-catching carbon ‘jacket,’ it seamlessly merges the vintage charm of the 1970s with cutting-edge futuristic design. Our collaboration with Revolution began with the reissue of the original Cover Girl, but over the years, we have aimed to make this model even lighter and more innovative. The new versions reflect the shared values of ZENITH and Revolution: a passion for watchmaking, deep respect for historical heritage, and a commitment to preserving traditions while propelling them into the future. This year, we celebrate Revolution’s 20th anniversary and ZENITH’s 160th anniversary, and I am confident that many more milestone moments await us ahead!" – Romain Marietta, Chief Products Officer, ZENITH WATCHES.

The collaboration includes three exclusive timepiece editions:
- Edition 1 (150 pieces) – A black carbon dial featuring baton indexes;
- Revolution Arabia (50 pieces) – Showcasing Indo-Arabic numerals on the dial;
- Exclusive Edition (10 pieces) – A combination of baton indexes and the iconic Gay Frères "ladder" bracelet, crafted from carbon for the first time.
Each version comes with two interchangeable straps: a black Velcro strap with a carbon-effect finish and a black embossed "ladder" calfskin strap. Thanks to a quick-release system, wearers can easily swap between straps without the need for tools.
