FIT graduates present their collections
Act 5 show in New York

As part of New York Fashion Week, the Fashion Institute of Technology staged Act 5 – the graduate showcase of the Fashion Design MFA program. Held at the Art & Design Gallery, the show featured collections from 18 emerging designers, each presenting five looks based on their individual research.
The collections stood out for their attention to detail, exploration of textures, use of repurposed materials, vintage charm, and artisanal aesthetics. Lawson Park drew inspiration from Portuguese ceramics and Southern heritage, while Matilda Tongying Liang dedicated her work to the theme of motherhood. Peng Han Beckham Lim explored the boundary between dream and reality through visual imagery.
The show marked the culmination of the two-year MFA program, launched in 2019. According to FIT President Joyce F. Brown, it serves as an important platform for young designers to launch their careers.
