Three Major Fashion Brands Announce Creative Director Departures
Seán McGirr, Anthony Vaccarello and Veronica Leoni are leaving their roles.
McQueen, Saint Laurent and Calvin Klein Collection are entering new creative chapters following three departures announced within a week.
On October 15, McQueen confirmed that Seán McGirr was leaving after three years as creative director. Appointed in 2023 to succeed Sarah Burton, the Irish designer most recently brought the house’s runway show back to London.
The same day, Calvin Klein announced Veronica Leoni’s departure after four seasons leading Collection, the brand’s revived runway line. Neither brand named an immediate successor.
The announcements followed Anthony Vaccarello’s exit from Saint Laurent on October 9, ending a decade at the house. Together, the departures leave three prominent creative positions open, bringing renewed attention to fashion’s changing leadership.
