Sports chic isn’t just about sports; it’s also about hints of glamour, sparkle, and sometimes the click of heels. When we think of this style, images of Missy Elliott in a velvet Adidas tracksuit, Sporty Spice from the beloved girls band, and, of course, the iconic music videos of J.Lo and Beyoncé come to mind. Fashion is cyclical, and trends that have firmly secured places in the hearts of fashionistas return to us year after year.

80s track jackets

Track jackets were paired with voluminous teased hair, shiny leggings, and bright makeup. Few wore track jackets solely as sportswear: they flaunted them at discos and in university classrooms.

Now, we see track jackets on the runways of leading brands. Bright, cropped, oversized – while track jackets used to look all the same, now we’re offered a rich variety of silhouettes and colors.

Embracing low rise

We all remember the popularity of low-rise pants in the 2010s. Whether for better or worse, this trend is making a comeback. When else but in summer can you seize the opportunity to showcase the relevance of this trend?

Beyond fitness

Leggings aren’t just for the gym or yoga! Pair them with mini skirts or oversized blazers. Long or cropped, thick or sheer – they’re popular in every form.

Mixing the unmixable

Sports chic is about the fusion of styles. This season, designers suggest taking a bolder step and wearing sports jackets with flowing maxi skirts.
