Messika unveils a new chapter of Terres de Contrastes at the Grand Palais
Rare gemstones, star-studded appearances and a spectacular show during Paris Fashion Week
During Paris Fashion Week, Messika unveiled a new chapter of its high jewellery collection Terres de Contrastes at the Grand Palais, bringing together exceptionally rare gemstones, striking geometry and a spectacular show. Adriana Lima opened the presentation, while Irina Shayk brought it to a close. The song I Love You Always Forever, which played throughout the evening, became an almost literal soundtrack to the show — echoing its promise of everlasting love and the diamonds that have traditionally come to express the same sentiment.

The second chapter of Terres de Contrastes turns to Botswana, where the Kalahari Desert meets the waters of the Okavango Delta, and white salt flats contrast with the saturated colours of the sunset. Valérie Messika translates this natural drama into high jewellery, moving beyond literal interpretations in favour of graphic lines, rich textures and colour. Fifteen new sets are built around the interplay of shades, shapes and light, revealing an unexpected side of familiar precious materials.

Natural diamonds provide the starting point for a dialogue with purple sapphires, green tsavorites, tanzanites, garnets and opals. The gemstones do more than simply complement one another: their combinations create depth, while subtle transitions of colour demand exceptional precision. Yet the collection is not limited to visual impact — its defining feature is its versatility. Articulated structures follow the lines of the body, detachable elements transform the way pieces can be worn, while necklaces offer multiple styling possibilities.

Here, luxury is defined not only by the rarity of the gemstones, but by the way they interact with light, movement and the body. It is through this approach that Messika offers a contemporary interpretation of jewellery tradition — expressive, dynamic and free from unnecessary ostentation.
